It is very important that Christians around the world speak out on this subject.
Among other reasons is the fact that the Moslem Wakf is currently carrying out
excavations on the TEMPLE MOUNT with BULLDOZERS AND DUMP TRUCKS,
destroying priceless artifacts in hopes of eradicating the evidence of Jewish
presence there. If you, as a Christian tourist, go on the temple mount today,
YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BRING A BIBLE, OR TO PRAY.
We must speak out and this must stop now.
As a Christian, I have a great interest in and concern for the places where the Bible was
written and where the core events took place that gave birth to my faith. It is very important
to me that people of all faiths and nationalities have open and unrestricted access to visit,
pray and worship peacefully in these places.
Based on historical record and legal guarantees within the law of Israel, I am convinced
that only when the nation of Israel exercises sovereignty, are these sites in the Holy Land
protected and freedom of access guaranteed.
Hence, it is my prayer and strong conviction that all the biblical and religious sites holy to
Christians in Jerusalem (including the Temple Mount), and throughout the Land of Israel,
should be and should remain under the administration and protection of the State of Israel.
